Preschool Studentsโโโโ
Applicant's requesting admissions to Emerging Minds Montessori Academy for our preschool program (Pre-Primary and Primary) should submit the preschool application, required supporting documents, and application fee. Once received, the applicant’s file will be reviewed by the Admissions Committee and families will be notified of Admissions decisions in February. Note: Admissions is not guaranteed. Our Admissions Committee meets and thoroughly evaluates all applications, considering various factors such as current student enrollment, sibling priority, and other criteria.

โโStudents Grades K-8โ
Applicant's requesting admissions to Emerging Minds Montessori Academy for grades K-8 are required to attend a three-day visitation in the environment they are seeking a space. During this visitation, the applicant will be observed in the areas of independence, intrinsic motivation, emotional maturity, social interactions, and academic abilities. These areas of development are vital in the range of success a student can achieve in a Montessori environment. Though we don't expect all areas to be ideal, we do look for potential in each area. Having the opportunity to encourage these characteristics over a three-day period can help the classroom Guides to determine if Emerging Minds Montessori Academy is a good fit for the applicant. Our ultimate goal is to follow the needs of every student and unfortunately, we are not always the best fit. It is therefore a process we take very seriously.
Visitations take place between November and February and will be scheduled once the applicant’s application, required supporting documents, and application fee is received. Once the visitation is complete, the applicant’s file will be reviewed by the Admissions Committee and families will be notified of Admissions decisions in February. Note: Admissions is not guaranteed.

Classroom Placement
At Emerging Minds Montessori Academy, classroom placements are thoughtfully determined by our Administration Team to support balanced and effective Montessori learning environments. Returning students will remain with their current Montessori Guide unless a change is deemed in the student’s best interest, continuing in the same classroom until they transition to the next three-year cycle. The Administration reserves the right to assign placements based on factors such as class size, age, gender, and individual student needs.
